You must submit a Weekly Certification after each week for which you would like to receive benefits. The Weekly Certification is a series of questions that helps verify that you were able, available, and looking for work that week.

Weekly certifications (or weekly claim for benefits) must be filed online.

Do Not Wait!

You should begin filing your Weekly Certifications the week after submitting your initial application.

You MUST file a Weekly Certification within 14 days after each week of unemployment in order to receive unemployment insurance payments. You should file Weekly Certifications even while you are waiting to learn if you are eligible for benefits.

Please allow up to 48 hours for payments to fully process.

If you fail to complete a timely Weekly Certification, you will:

  • NOT receive payment for the week; 
  • Be required to reopen your claim; and
  • Be required to serve an additional non-payable waiting week.
